The professional visit enables people aged between 12 and 20 years old to discover a diverse range of jobs. This activity allows the youth to familiarise themselves with the manual, creative, outside and inside, industrial or commercial skilled trades due to the professionals present on the site as well as through the visits (garden and Cascades plant). This can also enable them to expand their knowledge on numerous job opportunities in order to make an informed career choice. Did you know that the Parc Marie-Victorin uses four sources of renewable energy... including a wind turbine! Situated in the crib of sustainable development, the Parc wishes to raise awareness among their visitors concerning numerous eco-responsible measures used such as rainwater recuperation, the electronic charging stations, etc. This guided visit enables the visitor to see the surrounding resources with a different perspective. Furthermore, they will be exposed to the different actions that they can undertake in order to diminish their ecological footprint in their daily life. We are constantly using our five senses... For this reason, the Parc offers you to visit our beautiful gardens with closed eyes in order to live a unique experience! This visit is aimed to people with a visual handicap as well as to teenagers for a fantastic discover-experience! The teenagers will be blindfolded, which will enable them to put forward their other senses. This wonderful activity consist of visiting three gardens which will stimulated the sense of taste, touch, smelling and hearing. In order to stimulated these different senses, it will be possible to taste vegetables and comestible flowers, to touch different conifers in order to identify them, to listen carefully to birds warble and much more!
